DIY Triangle Boxes

Triangle boxes made for an 80th birthday.

Triangle boxes made for an 80th birthday.

I love making triangle boxes. I’ve been making them for many years and many reasons. At dinner parties, I’ve made them with people’s names on them to use as table place settings. I’ve used them as boxes for gifts, of course. I have made them with words, photos, drawings, paintings and all sorts of things on the paper.

There is so much you can do with these triangle boxes, whether you simply make a box out of a material you like, make your own material for the box, collage the box, or design the sides yourself on the computer. Here is a template that you can download to make your own triangle box: Folded Triangle Box template.

Triangle boxes for Margaret’s 90th birthday. The party took place in Kansas, so the four colors used for the boxes depict the colors of Kansas. The drawing on the side of each box is the “old family farm.”

Come back next Thursday to see a special project I have made with triangle boxes.
