With Valentine’s Day coming next month, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and playing around the theme of hearts. This is a simple box that closes with two flaps that come together to make a heart. I call it a cube heart box.

Just print out the template on the back of a piece of decorative paper, cut on the solid lines, fold on the dotted lines and use a bit of glue on the flaps to hold it all together. To close it, gently bend the top flaps in and slip the tabs of the heart together.

I designed my template to fit on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of paper, but you could enlarge or reduce the size if you need a larger or smaller box.

What to include in your finished box? My friends say that you can’t go wrong with chocolate.

  1. Oh they are gorgeous! I am going to give them a try as soon an I make some more paper covered pencils. Hope your wrists are better each day.

    • Sallie, thank you. I’d love to see some photos of your pencils. I love seeing what others have done with the ideas I have shared. I was thinking of a blog post where I share what others have done.

And, yes, my wrists are much better. I’ve been going to a chiropractor and although he was only working on my neck and back, my wrists are now almost back to normal. Yea!

      • Candy, I have some photos and would love to send them but have problems attaching. If you would be willing to give me an email address I know I could do that. You may have privacy concerns; I can understand and that is why I am not putting mine in this reply. Maybe you have a tech suggestion? Sallie

        • Thanks for the photos. They’re great! I will be writing a post about what people are making as a result of my blog posts. It will likely take me a month or so to collect everyone’s photos.
